I just dropped by design*sponge and noticed my picture on it. I was not expecting that! I designed a sticker (in the literacy style) for Rare Device's Sticker Series. I feel honored to a part of the project and I can't wait to see the printed version.
Lately I've been in my own little bubble here trying to get my new line together for the stationery show in NYC which takes place May 20-23. As I'm designing my new line, my inspirations are bold color, textile patterns, graphic silkscreened gig posters, and 70s-style illustrations.
And sadly, I had to poke a stick at my website to see if it's still alive. (It is and it wants a drink of water and some glazed donuts!) It's been suffering from neglect for several months. It's in major need of updates and just some loving. I've promised to pay attention to it...um, starting next month. (Ditto for the Modern Economy website, too.) So the whole "shop" section on my website is going down today in preparation for the upcoming new stuff. Too many websites and never enough time.
Anyway, here's a sneak peek of an illustration that I'll be using in my new line...inspired by ikat patterns.
