I was in illustration deadline land last week and didn't get a chance to post at all. I went to the sfMOMA over the weekend to see the Alexander Girard exhibit. So colors and patterns were so inspiring. It was just a major bummer that it was such a small exhibit. I wanted to see more!
I'm loving the La Fonda Del Sol color palette and I made me think of the work of these artists who share some Girardian sensibilities:
Lovely work by Steven Harrington
Georgeous illos and colors in this booklet by Damien Correll
Gorgeous, gorgeous colours... simply splendid prelude to the Spring season ahead!

I clicked over to the Damien Correll site and had a look. Smashing! Wonderful good stuff! Thanks for directing my attention to it.
