Found this image while browsing through New Image Art Gallery's archives. It was made by Rory Wilson and shown at the Move 8 show back in 2002. There isn't a description for this piece, but I love it because it looks like a sewn metro/subway system map--and I'm a fan of objects where old school craft and newer technology intersect. Wouldn't this be a cool objet d'art souvenir for a place you visit? I think so...
I couldn't dig up too much information on Rory Wilson, but I know he also screenprints tees and bookbags like the ones below. Aren't the buttons a cute detail?
it's a map of the london underground without the stations. it's really cool.
