Hanna is a designer after my own heart, especially with her work that marries technology and craft. My favorite project is the Electric Jungle, an installation using digital printed cloth and cross stitching. As I take great pleasure in meticulous, time-consuming work (I do!), I appreciate the photographs showing the large-scale handiwork of the stitching. She brings the pixelated, cross-stitch appeal to her digital tree roots illustration as well.
Another cool project is Apparat No. 1, where a wallpaper drawing machine using black permanent markers on white wallpaper is used to create patterns at random repeat. The pattern evidences both the hand and the machine in its design.
And I love when form is dictated by information, in this case highlights from a Kafka book (bottom right image).
Aside from all the conceptual projects, Hanna has goodies for the buying public, such as the beautiful wallpaper designs shown below.
