Continuing from the previous post, here are more images from that home. And now, I have a new favorite interior designer: Jay Jeffers. Thank you to midcenturyjo for pointing me to his website. According to Jeffers: "The design for this groovy sixties house is a nod to the Palm Springs and Palm Beach styles of the era, reimagined for 21st-century living. The Los Angeles home of professional skateboarder Reese Forbes and his wife, Shawn, Jay Jeffers designed the interiors to be a chic mix of vintage and modern." And image from the previous post is described as: "The large foyer has been transformed into a swank cocktail lounge, enveloped in a bold chinoiserie print and featuring a mid-Century 'apple' bar." The apple bar is too cute.
After a visit to a bookstore and the local library, still no luck on getting my hands on the latest issue of California Home + Design magazine. Don't make me go to my doctor's office to snag her copy...
hey meg, i actually saw that magazine at the grocery store yesterday ... let me know if you have trouble tracking it down. i can easily pick up a copy. (i love that blue buffet!)

they have the mag at a grocery store but not at barnes and noble in emeryville? what the....or maybe i'm blind. thanks anh-minh--i'll let you know if i have any more trouble.

this home was also featured in InStyle Home Fall/winter2006 using the same photos, I don't know if its still available in stores but perhaps that may be at a library? its a great spread! good luck

Its always interesting to read what others think about interior design.
From your bloog it looks like you might be interested in the same things as me, for example the interior design store www.pid.se who has the most lovely chair that i have seen.

And for all of us who love to relax by the fire place the Geniol Fireplace from PID.Se is the most lovely interior design item I can imagine.

Interior design can actually be quite difficult because it all depends on personal preferences. The trends in commercial and residential interior design change on a regular basis, however what goes out of fashion will normally come back into fashion in around 50 years.
